Observations began in the morning at 8:00 UTC, with the first snow observed at 10:20 UTC. Precipitations above ground were measured by Micro Rain Radar during that time but did not reach the ground until 10:20 UTC. The snow continued to fall, lightly at times, until 14:10 UTC. Microphotography was attempted every 10 minutes, but was not always possible if the precipitation melted too quickly. There was a pause in precipitation for a few hours, and then precipitation resumed from 17:30 to 19:20 UTC (periods of rain, as well as mixed precipitation of rain + snow). During this event, five weather balloons were launched (at 8:08, 11:08, 14:01, 17:15, and 20:16 UTC).
